With the Pico RA2 select system, this home is made smart right from the doorway to the living room, kitchen & the 3 rooms.
All lights were integrated into the system. With just a touch on the Lutron app, the house lights were light up and dim to a cosy welcome for the home owner back in the evening. Pre-set preference allow the home owners to only light up the door way, living room ( % dim) & kitchen (% dim), according to their evening back from work routine.
The blinds in the balcony was also integrated, from 100% closed in the day to block out the heat & sun. To % open in the evening to allow some lights and fresh air to welcome the home owners while still providing some privacy.
The Lutron RA2 Main repeater was used & conveniently hidden in the electrical box. The brain of the system communicates with the connected devices to perform task & allow easy configurations from anywhere on the Lutron app.
The Lutron RA2 Select Inline dimmer was installed on the lighting point. Concealed away in the ceiling. With that it allows setting of scene according to the preferred dimming percentage.
The 2nd switch module was also used for the water heater. Allow the control to do a complete shower scene.
For instance:
Vanity scene- mirror strip light with main at 75%
Shower scene - all light and heater to on
Night scene- 20% brightness
Off scene - All off
Instead of just using the system via the app. Of course, there are the Pico wireless control available. Small in size and modern looking to be fixed up on the wall or just leave it as it is on the bed-table or drawers.
Similarly, it allow for user configuration on the app. After which, the pre-set scene on the pico control will do the work without the app.
Sleep scene set, lights turn off , blinds down & the aircon on.
